A very rare 1/4 stater from the Aulerci Eburovices

CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Aulerci Eburovices. Late 2nd to first half of 1st century BC. 1/4 Stater (Gold, 13 mm, 1.71 g, 10 h), 'au loup' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right, the hair devolved into long curls with a strand falling loose before the forehead. Rev. Celticized horseman to right, holding long serrated whip in his right hand; below horse, wolf standing right with an ornament above. DT 2388. Flesche -. LT 7173. Very rare and unusually attractive. A few light marks, otherwise, good very fine.
